A storybook house
in the heart of Bucovina

The whole house is yours: five bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a wooden hot tub and a fireplace, for up to 12 guests.

Our story

We built the house ourselves in 2017, from round logs. We furnished it with made-to-order, hand-painted pieces, put in a real fireplace and a long table where the whole family fits.

We’ve been welcoming guests since 2022.

The living room with a stone fireplace, leather sofas and wooden beams

Come in,

it’s warm inside.

The walls are round logs, and the fire is real.

The beams are exposed and the whole house smells of wood. In winter it’s warm everywhere, with underfloor heating, and in the evening the fire brings everyone together in the living room.

01 · Inside

Flowers painted on tables and cupboards

Every piece of furniture is made to order from solid wood and painted by hand. The dining table has poppies and daisies, the kitchen cupboards have birds. Alongside them you’ll find all the comforts of home: an induction hob, a dishwasher and WiFi.

02 · The bedrooms

Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom

Every bedroom has a double bed, a private bathroom and a balcony, plus a kettle, a fridge and a TV. The living room sofa pulls out into a bed for two more, so up to 12 of you can stay.

In summer, from June to September, you can also book a single room: 250 lei a night for two.

The dogs of the house

Jax and Pamela

They’re part of the family and always at home, so you’ll meet them around the yard.

That’s also why we can’t accept other pets.

The film

Casade Poveste

A year at Casa de Poveste, from the first snow to the autumn mist.

Bucovina on your doorstep

In the morning, the mist lifts slowly off the fir trees. Sucevița Monastery is a few minutes’ walk away, and the rest of Bucovina is a short drive. The road is paved almost to the gate and cleared of snow in winter.
